Navana CNG Limited, a listed company on the stock market, has taken an initiative to expand its business into 10 new sectors, including electric vehicles (EVs), charging stations, battery swapping, vehicle sales and maintenance, and solar power-related services.
The company’s board of directors has decided to incorporate the proposed business activities into its Memorandum of Association (MoA). Shareholders’ approval will be sought through an Extraordinary General Meeting (EGM), according to information from the Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE).
Under the expansion plan, Navana CNG aims to establish EV charging stations and charging hubs, including AC and DC fast-charging facilities at its existing CNG refuelling stations. The company also plans to acquire new locations for charging services and set up battery-swapping stations.
The proposed initiatives include fleet energy solutions for commercial vehicles and institutional fleets, as well as specialised service centres for EV maintenance and repairs.
The company also plans to enter the used EV battery recycling business and provide complete battery lifecycle management services. In addition, it intends to establish electric vehicle showrooms and operate dealership businesses.
Its expansion strategy also covers electric motorcycles, three-wheelers and four-wheelers. The company plans to import these vehicles in completely knocked-down (CKD) or parts form for local assembly, distribution, sales and after-sales services.
Furthermore, Navana CNG intends to expand into other products and services related to electric vehicles and solar power.
To formally include the proposed activities in its business operations, the board has decided to amend the company’s Memorandum of Association, subject to shareholders’ approval.
The EGM will be held on December 30, 2026, at 11:00am through a hybrid platform. The venue for physical participation will be announced later.
The company has set November 19, 2026, as the record date to determine shareholders eligible to participate in the EGM.
If approved, the expansion will allow Navana CNG to diversify beyond its existing CNG-based operations into electric mobility, charging infrastructure, battery management, vehicle sales and servicing, and solar energy-related businesses.
