National University strengthens regional centers

BM Report:

The Bangladesh National University (NU) has taken the initiative to strengthen its regional centers. In this regard, the NU Vice-Chancellor Mosiur Rahman held a meeting with the directors of the university’s 6 regional centers on Monday.

The meeting was held online on the Zoom platform at 11:00 am. Vice-Chancellor Dr. Mosiur Rahman was the chief guest at the meeting. At the meeting, the vice-chancellor instructed the directors of the regional centers to play a more effective role in providing services to students.

Addressing the directors of the regional centers, Vice-Chancellor Mosiur Rahman said, “Regional centers need to strengthen their monitoring of departmental colleges to ensure student attendance in the classroom. This will ensure that students are present in the classroom. Effective steps need to be taken for this. It is also necessary to monitor that regular teachers teach in the classroom.”

The vice-chancellor also instructed the directors of the regional centers to take necessary steps to implement these initiatives throughout the year.

The meeting was chaired by the Director of the NU Regional Center Coordination Office, Ms. Hosne Ara Begum. The directors of the regional centers of Rajshahi, Chittagong, Barisal, Khulna, Sylhet, and Rangpur were present at the meeting.
