Mymensingh RHD Employees Form Human Chain for Five-Point Demand

Raihan Mymensingh Correspondent: A human chain was held on Tuesday morning in front of the Mymensingh Roads and Highways Department, demanding the resolution of salary complications of master roll employees and the implementation of a five-point demand. The program was organized by the Unity Council for Roads and Highways Employees.

The participants demanded immediate steps to address issues related to salary grading and job regularization. They also urged the authorities to stop new recruitment until ongoing cases are settled.

Among those present at the event were Mohammad Golam Mostafa, President of the National Workers Party, Mymensingh Road Division; Mohammad Yusuf Ali, General Secretary of the Employees’ Union, Mymensingh Roads and Highways; and Nabi Hossain Babul, Organizational Secretary of the Nationalist Workers Party, Mymensingh Roads and Highways.

Speakers at the human chain warned that their movement would continue until their demands are accepted.

Their five demands include:

1. Fixing salaries of master roll employees according to their respective grades.

2. Halting new recruitment until pending cases are resolved.

3. Regularizing the jobs of existing permanent employees.

4. Implementing the proposed organogram with proportional representation of officers and employees.

5. Giving priority transfer to project employees in new projects after completion of current ones.

Participants called upon the government and higher authorities to take prompt action to meet their just demands, ensuring fair treatment for all employees working under the Roads and High ways Department in Mymensingh.
