Aftab Feni Correspondent: A training workshop was conducted for the Upazila Committee regarding the implementation guidelines of the Mother and Child Support Program in Daganbhuiyan Upazila, located in the Feni district.

The workshop took place on Monday, June 23, at the Upazila Officers Club Hallroom. It was organized by the Upazila Administration in collaboration with the Women’s Affairs Department, along with the project titled Supporting Implementation of Mother and Child Benefit Program and the Ministry of Women and Children’s Affairs.

Dr. Prakash Kanti Chowdhury, Joint Secretary and Project Director of the Ministry of Women and Children Affairs, participated in the training workshop virtually, offering guidance on the program’s implementation.

The session was chaired by Nasrin Akhter, the Upazila Women’s Affairs Officer, while S.M. Azharul Islam, the Upazila Executive Officer (UNO), served as the chief guest.

Present at the event were Upazila Health Officer Dr. A.S.M. Sohrab Al Hossain, Upazila Livestock Officer Dr. Sujan Kanti Sharma, officials from various departments, administrators responsible for different Union Parishads, UP administrative officers, and entrepreneurs.

During the training, speakers elaborated on the government’s initiatives to enhance maternal and child nutrition and health, the process of allowance payments, the selection of beneficiaries, alleviating hardships, and effective strategies for implementation.

The speakers emphasized that this significant government initiative will be crucial in fostering a non-discriminatory, safe, and healthy generation. They urged everyone to actively contribute to the overall welfare of mothers and children.
