The Mohammadpur Police of the DMP have apprehended 10 individuals linked to various criminal activities following special operations conducted in several crime-prone areas under the jurisdiction of Mohammadpur Police Station in the capital to mitigate crime.

The individuals arrested are: 1. Md. Dulal Mia (27) 2. Golam Rabbi alias Bappi (19) 3. Md. Shakil Howlader (25) 4. Md. Bappi (30) 5. Md. Hridoy Hossain (30) 6. Md. Bijoy (18) 7. Md. Ijazul Hossain (18) 8. Md. Kamal Hossain (32) 9. Md. Babu alias Chhota Babu (30) and 10. Md. Sumon (32).

As per information from Mohammadpur Police Station, the arrests were made from various locations within the police station’s area on Friday (September 12, 2025) during a comprehensive special operation. During this operation, two samurai swords were also seized from the suspects.

Police sources further indicated that those detained include individuals with ongoing cases, defendants in banditry cases, individuals with outstanding warrants, and others involved in a range of criminal activities.

The arrested individuals have been presented before the learned court.
