Modhumoti Bank PLC. signed an agreement with Bangladesh Bank for participating in Tk. 10,000 crore Refinance Scheme for Agricultural and Rural Sector to Increase Agricultural Production and Employment Generation. The signing ceremony was held at the Head Office of Bangladesh Bank on Monday, August 17, 2026. During the signing ceremony Mr. Arab Fazlur Rahman, Deputy Managing Director & Chief Business Officer of MMBPLC and Mr. A.K.M Sayduzzaman, Director of ACD-2, were present on behalf of their respective organizations. Among others present at the ceremony were Ms. Rafia Sultana, Additional Director of Bangladesh Bank and Mr. Zahid Al Muntasir, Head of CMSME Business Support of Modhumoti Bank PLC.

Through this agreement, Modhumoti Bank PLC will be able to extend financing facilities at a concessional interest rate of 8% p.a. to Agri customers under the refinance schemes of Bangladesh Bank, which will contribute to the growth and development of the Agricultural sector.
