The board of directors of MJL Bangladesh PLC, a listed energy and power sector company, has decided to sell a second-hand oil tanker of the company. The tanker is named MT Omera Legacy.
The decision to sell the ship was approved in the company’s board of directors meeting held on Wednesday (March 5). This information was revealed by DSE sources.
According to the source, the 107,091 metric ton ship in question is 20 years old. It will be sold for $22.7 million. In local currency, the amount is about 272.4 million taka (1 dollar = 120 taka). And the commission for the sale process will be 3 percent. Accordingly, MJL will get 264.2 million taka by selling the ship.
