Mercantile Bank PLC has launched the Bangla QR Code based service to make banking facilities easier, more advanced and technology-driven. Customers of Mercantile Bank can purchase and make payment utilizing the `MBL Rainbow’ app easier than ever through Bangla QR Code service. Md. Quamrul Islam Chowdhury, Managing Director of the bank inaugurated the service on Tuesday at the Bank’s Head Office. 

Mati Ul Hasan, AMD, Adil Raihan, Shamim Ahmed, Mahmood Alam Chowdhury and Ashim Kumar Saha, Deputy Managing Directors; CFO Tapash Chandra Paul, PhD; Mohammad Iqbal Rezwan, SEVP; Abu Asghar G. Haruni, Company Secretary & Head of HR, Mostafizur Rahman, Head of Card Division and Digital Banking & Innovation Division, along with other senior officials of the bank, were also present at the ceremony.

In his address Quamrul Islam Chowdhury stated that the `Bangla QR code’ service would simplify shopping and various payment processes for customers. He added that customers could make payments at any merchant point displaying the `Bangla QR Code’. Customers can spend up to BDT 20,000 per day and BDT 100,000 per month through this service.
