Mercantile Bank PLC launched four more sub-branches across the country on Tuesday to provide enhanced banking services to its customers.
Amanullah, the bank’s Sponsor Director and Chairman of Mercantile Exchange House (UK) Limited, virtually inaugurated the sub-branches as the chief guest, according to a press release.
The three sub-branches are located in Sarojganj (Chuadanga district), Shyamganj (Mymensingh district), and Sreemangal (Moulvibazar district).
Md. Quamrul Islam Chowdhury, the bank’s Managing Director and CEO, virtually opened the banking operations of the four sub-branches by cutting a ribbon in a ceremony held at the bank’s head office.
M A Khan Belal, a Director of the bank and Chairman of MBSL, and Monsuruzzaman, Vice Chairman of MBSL, addressed the event as special guests.
Other senior executives present at the occasion included Zakir Hossain, Adil Raihan, Shamim Ahmed, Hasne Alam, and Md. Mahmood Alam Chowdhury, Deputy Managing Directors; Tapash Chandra Paul, Chief Financial Officer; Ashim Kumar Saha, Shah Sohel Khurshid, and Mohammad Iqbal Rezwan, Senior Executive Vice Presidents; and Abu Asghar G. Haruni, Company Secretary and Head of HR.
