Mehmud Hossain is the new chairman of IFIC Bank.

Md. has been elected chairman of IFIC Bank PLC listed in the bank sector in the capital market. Mehmud Hossain. He was elected Chairman at the first meeting (894th overall) of the reconstituted Board of Directors. Recently, this meeting was held in the meeting room of the bank’s head office.

In the meeting, prayers were prayed for the souls of the students who died in the recent mass uprising of the country and also for the well-being of the injured students. Ebtadul Islam, Sajjad Zahir, Kazi Md. were present in the meeting among other members of the board. Mahbub Kashem, Md. Golam Mostafa, Muhammad Manjurul Haque, Managing Director Syed Mansoor Mostafa, Company Secretary Mokammel Haque, Head of ICC M Mujibur Rahman and CFO Dilip Kumar Mondal.

Md. Mehmud Hossain completed his Bachelors and Masters in Economics from Dhaka University. Prior to this, he served as Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of National Bank and NRB Bank, President and Managing Director of Bank Asia, Additional Managing Director of Prime Bank, Lankabangla Finance, Lankabangla Securities and Lankabangla Investment Limited as an independent director.

IFIC Bank believes that his illustrious experience of more than four decades of career in the banking sector and strong leadership will help them reach unique heights.
