Meghna life insurance approves 15% cash dividend

The 30th Annual General Meeting (AGM) of Meghna Life Insurance PLC was held virtually on Thursday, 20 August 2026, at 11:00 a.m. At the AGM, the shareholders unanimously approved a 15% cash dividend for the year 2025.

The meeting was chaired by the Company’s Chairman, Mr. Nizam Uddin Ahmed. Vice Chairman Mr. Nasir Uddin Ahmed (Pavel), Directors Mr. Riaz Uddin Ahmed, Ms. Jannatul Ferdous, Mr. Md. Zahid Anwar Khan, Mr. Md. Main Uddin, Ms. Dilruba Sharmin and Ms. Sabita Ferdous, along with other Directors, Acting Chief Executive Officer Mr. Mohammad Tarek FCA, and senior officials of the Company participated in the virtual meeting.

The AGM was conducted by Mr. Enamul Haque Khan ACS, Additional Managing Director and Company Secretary.

Meghna Life Insurance PLC earned Tk. 282.66 crore in total premium income in 2025. The Company’s current total assets stood at Tk. 1,765.66 crore. During 2025, the Company paid Tk. 286.78 crore in insurance claims. The Company’s Earnings Per Share (EPS) stood at Tk. 1.72 in 2025.

The Chairman also opined that the Meghna Life Insurance PLC comes forward with modern technology driven and policy friendly initiative

In his concluding remarks, the Chairman expressed his gratitude to the  Insurance Development and Regulatory Authority (IDRA), the Bangladesh Securities and Exchange Commission (BSEC), the Dhaka Stock Exchange PLC, other regulatory authorities, the Company’s directors and management, officers and employees, insurance professionals, policyholders and shareholders for their continued support and cooperation.

He also called upon all concerned to work together towards achieving the Company’s business objectives for 2026 and ensuring its continued success and sustainable growth.
