Recently, Meghna Bank PLC has signed two participation agreements with the Sustainable Finance Department of Bangladesh Bank under the BDT 1,000 crore Refinance Scheme for Green Factory Building & Green Industry and the BDT 1,000 crore Refinance Scheme for the Development of ICT Sector.

The agreements will enable Meghna Bank to facilitate financing for eligible green factory buildings, green industries and ICT-sector initiatives in accordance with the respective Bangladesh Bank refinance schemes.

Md. Sadiqur Rahman, Additional Managing Director of Meghna Bank PLC, Mohammad Sohel Miah, SEVP & Head of SME Banking Division, and Mohammad Hossain Razu, SME & Agri Banking, represented Meghna Bank at the agreement signing ceremony.

A K M Nurunnabi, Director, Sustainable Finance Department, and Md. Tohidul Islam, Additional Director, Sustainable Finance Department, represented Bangladesh Bank at the ceremony.

The participations mark another step in Meghna Bank’s efforts to broaden its green and sustainable financing for the eligible businesses and the development of the ICT sector.
