On the first working day of the week, all price index of the Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) experienced an upward trend. The primary index rose by 51 points on that day. Concurrently, the total transaction amount in taka surpassed 8 billion taka.

As per the source, on Sunday (August 17), the main index of the Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE), known as ‘DSEX’, saw an increase of 51.24 points. The current value of the index stands at 5,4401 points.
Additionally, another index of the DSE, ‘DSES’, rose by 9.50 points to reach 1,172 points, while the ‘DS-30′ index climbed by 22.13 points to 2,095 points.
Today, shares and units valued at 8,017,124,000 taka were traded on the DSE. In comparison, the previous working day recorded transactions worth 7,032,027,000 taka.
A total of 398 companies’ shares and units were exchanged on the DSE today. Among the companies involved in the transactions, 205 saw an increase in their prices, while 135 experienced a decrease. Furthermore, the prices of shares and units for 58 companies remained stable.
