In the outgoing week, Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) indices traded mixed. Market capitalization fell throughout the week. However, the amount of transactions has increased.
It is reported that the market capitalization of DSE on the last working day of the previous week was Tk 6 lakh 63 thousand 652 crore 63 lakh. And on the last working day of the outgoing week, the market capitalization stood at 6 lakh 71 thousand 63 crore 25 lakh taka. That is, the market capitalization of DSE decreased by 7 thousand 411 crores or 1.10 percent during the week.
During the week, the transaction volume increased by Tk 1,984 crore to Tk 4,447 crore. 2,463 crore was traded on the DSE on the last working day of the previous week.
During the week, the main index of DSE increased by 9 points to 5 thousand 506 points. Among the other indices, Shariah index decreased by 1 point and DSE-30 index decreased by 8 points to 1 thousand 207 points and 1 thousand 942 points respectively.
398 companies took part in transactions on DSE during the week. Among them, 220 shares increased, 154 decreased and 22 remained unchanged.
