LPS holds Press Conference for payment of minimum grade salary and allowances

LSP Kalyan Parishad Bangladesh has demanded payment of minimum grade salary and allowances to 4,200 union-based Livestock Service Providers (LSP) in 61 districts under the Livestock and Dairy Development Project (LDDP). This demand was made at a press conference organized at Maulana Mohammad Akram Khan Hall of the National Press Club of the capital on Friday.
In a written statement, the general secretary of the organization, SM Zaman, said, ‘Considering the helplessness of 4 thousand 200 skilled and trained manpower under the LDDP project, I am demanding the payment of salaries and allowances at the minimum grade and direct recruitment of LSPs through direct recruitment. .’
SM Zaman also said that there are union health centers and community clinics as hospitals, there are assistant agricultural officers at the union level for farmers, but as there is no permanent union-based livestock service or counseling center for farmers, marginal farmers have to take sick animals to distant upazila veterinary hospitals for emergency treatment. is not possible. As a result, farmers are deprived of basic medical care. Due to this, the country and the farmers are suffering financially.
