A new digital platform, www.listolet.com, is connecting Bengalis around the world through a shared network of services, stories, and community support.
Launched with the slogan “Connecting Bangladeshis Globally,” Listolet aims to provide a one-stop solution for global Bangladeshis- whether they’re looking to rent a home, find a roommate, get a job, share an experience, or simply stay connected with their community.
The platform was founded by two young Bangladeshi entrepreneurs: Sarwar Habib, a film graduate from Brooklyn College, and Tarek Hasan, an IT graduate from Western Governors University. Having lived abroad themselves, both recognized a gap in how Bengalis connect and support each other in foreign lands and in Bangladesh – then decided to bridge that gap with Listolet.
“Our goal is to make life easier and more affordable for Bangladeshis, wherever they are,” said Sarwar Habib. “Technology is no longer optional-it’s essential. Through Listolet, we want to build a stronger, supportive bond among Bengalis globally.”Listolet offers a wide range of free services, including:
- House rent / sublet listings, food and groceries
- Roommate search and office space rentals
- Job postings and driver requests
- Buying, selling, and service needs, hotel & travel
- Help with immigration, licenses, and local guidance
- Matchmaking for brides and grooms, freebees
- Self-storage, books, Misc, men’s & women’s fashion
- Anybody can list their local business globally
www.listolet.com- is designed so that anyone, from any part of the world, can post or search without any cost. Tarek Hasan explained, “We focused first on the essential needs of expatriates- from finding a place to stay to selling unwanted items, or simply locating a trusted mechanic. We’ve tried to make everything available in one place.”
In addition to daily utilities, Listolet also offers a space for self-expression. The “Symposium Gallery” invites users to share their personal stories- about love, loss, success, migration, and more. Selected stories will be published by weekly in a special magazine across Bengali communities in cities like New York and in Bangladesh also. Out of these journals, some stories may even be adapted into short films or plays.
www.listolet.com is also contributing to Bangladeshi culture by promoting music and art. Their first original song, “Priyo Bangladesh”, performed by legendary singer Agun, has already been released. More music, web series, and films are in the pipeline.
