Legendary Industrialist Fazlur Rahman’s 2nd Death Anniversary

B Mirror Report: Today is the 2nd death anniversary of the legendary industrialist Fazlur Rahman. The founder of the City Group of Industries died on the 25th of December in 2023. Special prayers are set to be arranged by different organizations of the City Group and many social organizations today. Prayers were arranged on Wednesday also.
City Group, a food and consumer market giant, best known by its famous brand Arrow (TEER), employs more than 40,000 and it is now one of the top three conglomerates in the country. The group operates more than 30 industries, two SEZs. Industries are operated in food processing, animal feeds, fiber, paper, chemical, and cement sectors. The group is also the largest tea planter in the country.
Modern hospital, medical, and nursing colleges are also operated by the group. It also has stakes in a bank, an insurance company, and a financial company.
Fazlur Rahman was born in the old town. He had started a small shop even in his school age, as he was forced to help his family after his father had died. After independence, Rahman started his industrial journey by setting up a traditional oil unit for crushing mustard seeds. Consequently, he established many other industries. He was highly regarded due to his “think big’ philosophy in industrialization.
