Mohammad Abdul Moin, Chairman of LankaBangla Finance PLC—a listed company in the financial sector has gifted shares to his wife.
This information was disclosed by the Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE).
According to the DSE, Mohammad Abdul Moin gifted 9,650,000 shares of the company to his wife, Iffat Haque. On October 21, he announced his decision to gift the shares, which was scheduled to be executed by October 30.
As of October 22, the closing price of LankaBangla Finance shares on the DSE was Tk 13.70 each. Based on that price, the total value of the gifted shares amounts to approximately Tk 132.2 million (13.22 crore).
