The death anniversary of Baul emperor Fakir Lalon will be celebrated nationally this time. Extensive preparations are being made by the Ministry of Culture and the district administration to celebrate the day for the first time in all districts of the country, including Kushtia. Starting tomorrow (October 17), extensive preparations are being made to celebrate the 135th death anniversary at Lalon Ankhra Bari in Chheuria, Kushtia.

‘If you love people, you will become a golden man’, this timeless saying of Lalon Fakir has spread across the country and abroad. Lalon devotees believe that true human love lies in loving people. Although it was celebrated locally at Lalon Ankhra house in Chheuria, Kushtia, the current interim government has given national recognition to Lalon Fakir’s death anniversary.

A three-day program will be organized on the first day of Kartik. For this, various initiatives have been taken by the district administration, starting from preparatory meetings.
