SM Amjad Hossain, the chairman of Khulna Paper and Printing Limited, a company listed on the stock market, surrendered and applied for bail in the Metropolitan Sessions Judge’s Court on Monday (06 January).
In the bail hearing, the learned expert promised to pay the due money claimed in the case filed by Islami Bank against the loan, subject to the commissioning of all its factories. Keeping in mind the money of the bank and the stock market investors and considering all other aspects, the Honorable Court granted SM Amjad Hossain’s bail application.
During the previous fascist regime, all the accounts related to the business of Amjad Hossain including KPPL were ordered to be closed by the ACC without any proper investigation. The business closed.
Amjad Hossain has now assured the court that he will reopen all his businesses and factories through proper legal processes and fair trial.
