B.Mirror Desk: The 799th meeting of the Board of Directors of Southeast Bank PLC was held at the Board Room of the Bank’s Head Office in Dilkusha. The meeting was chaired by Mr. M. A. Kashem, Founder and Chairman of Southeast Bank PLC.
The meeting held detailed discussions on various important matters concerning the Bank and took necessary decisions accordingly. At the meeting, Justice Md. Azizul Haque and Ms. Nurjahan Begum, ndc joined the Board of Directors of Southeast Bank PLC as Independent Directors.
Justice Md. Azizul Haque joined the Bangladesh Judicial Service in 1981. He served as an Additional Judge of the Supreme Court of Bangladesh from 2008 to 2010. He has authored several books on law and is currently serving as an arbitrator.
Ms. Nurjahan Begum, ndc is a former Additional Secretary to the Government of the People’s Republic of Bangladesh. She has nearly four decades of extensive experience in public administration, tax administration, economic management, and governance. She also served as a Member of the Bangladesh Public Service Commission (BPSC). In addition, she served as the Senior Directing Staff (Civil) at the National Defence College (NDC).
Their joining in the Board of Directors of Southeast Bank PLC is expected to further strengthen the Bank’s corporate governance, institutional expertise, and overall organizational capabilities.
