Ashraful Alam has recently joined Janata Bank PLC as Deputy Managing Director (DMD). Earlier, he was working as General Manager at Janata Bank Bhaban Corporate Branch.
His banking career started in 1993 by joining Janata Bank as a senior officer. At various stages of his career, he served in Janata Bank Local Office, Motijheel Corporate Branch, Foreign Trade Corporate Branch, Kamal Ataturk Corporate Branch and other branches and offices with efficiency and reputation.
Ashraful Alam was born in 1967 in a respectable Muslim family in Mirzapur village under Akkelpur Upazila of Joypurhat. He completed his secondary and higher secondary education from Rajshahi Cadet College. Later, he obtained a master’s degree from the Finance and Banking Department of Dhaka University in 1992.
