The Divisional Branch Managers’ Conference of Janata Bank Cumilla Division, was held on Sunday, November 9, at a local auditorium.

Muhammad Fazlur Rahman, CSP, Chairman of Janata Bank, attended the event as the chief guest. Managing Director Md. Mojibur Rahman was present as the special guest, while Deputy Managing Director Md. Nazrul Islam attended as an honored guest.

The conference was presided over by Ruhia Akhter, General Manager of the Cumilla Divisional Office. Executives and branch managers under the Cumilla Division participated in the conference.

Earlier in the day, Managing Director Md. Mojibur Rahman inaugurated and conducted a session on Financial Literacy at the Bureau Bangladesh Training Center in Cumilla.

During the conference, Chairman Muhammad Fazlur Rahman instructed officials to assess customers’ willingness and ability to repay loans before disbursement, emphasizing lending to good clients and ensuring timely recovery. Managing Director Md. Mojibur Rahman urged officials to focus more on collecting low-interest deposits and recovering defaulted loans. He also directed the executives and officers present to strictly comply with the bank’s rules and regulations.
