Jamuna Bank recognized as a sustainable bank

B Mirror Desk: Jamuna Bank has been ranked in Bangladesh Bank’s list of Top 10 Sustainable Banks of 2024 for three consecutive years in recognition of its sustainable and environmentally friendly financing, strong financial foundation, service expansion, and multifaceted social responsibility activities undertaken to improve the quality of life of marginalized communities.

This information was confirmed in a press release on Saturday (August 23).

Bangladesh Bank Governor Dr. Ahsan H. Mansur presented a certificate and crest to Jamuna Bank Managing Director and CEO Mirza Elias Uddin Ahmed at the ‘Sustainability Rating Recognition’ ceremony organized by Bangladesh Bank.

Bangladesh Bank Deputy Governor Nurunnahar, Sustainable Finance Department (SFD) Director Chowdhury Liaquat Ali, Jamuna Bank Senior Vice President Mohammad Prasant Samir and other officials were present at the time.

Expressing gratitude, Managing Director and CEO Mirza Ilias Uddin Ahmed said, “The sustainable and environmentally friendly initiatives undertaken by Jamuna Bank are not only a sign of social responsibility; rather, they are also a well-planned strategy towards strengthening the financial foundation of our bank. Jamuna Bank believes that this rating is not just a recognition; rather, it is a reflection of our responsible and future-oriented banking.”
