Jamuna Bank Holds Clean Note Management Workshop in Dinajpur

Jamuna Bank PLC organized a day-long workshop on “Clean Note Management and Exchange of Soiled, Torn and Defective Notes” at the BRAC Learning Centre in Dinajpur on Saturday, 8 August 2026. Md. Dewan Siraj, Director of Bangladesh Bank, Rangpur Office, attended the workshop as the chief guest, while Md. Hasan Ruhi Islam, Additional Director, and Md. Abdullah Al Mamun, Joint Director, were present as special guests. Muhammad Fazlul Hoque, Senior Vice President and Zonal Head, Rajshahi Zone, Jamuna Bank PLC, presided over the program and delivered the welcome address.

In his remarks, Muhammad Fazlul Hoque said, “Money is not merely a piece of paper; it represents people’s hard work, income, savings and dreams. We do not simply count money—we safeguard the value of people’s trust and aspirations.” He also urged cash officials to strictly follow Bangladesh Bank guidelines on the verification, sorting, preservation and exchange of currency notes, emphasizing “Right Note, Right Handling, Right Process” as the core principles of cash operations. The workshop featured practical guidance on clean note management and the proper procedures for handling and exchanging soiled, torn and defective notes. Officials from 12 branches and 17 sub-branches of Jamuna Bank PLC in the Rangpur Division participated in the workshop.
