The 3rd Reunion and Biennial General Meeting of the Dhaka University Islamic Studies Department Alumni Association took place on Saturday at the Teacher-Student Center (TSC) Auditorium.

Dhaka University Vice-Chancellor ASM Maksud Kamal attended the program as the chief guest and inaugurated various events throughout the day.

Special guests at the event included Islamic Studies Department Alumni Association President Abdur Rashid, Association Advisor Abdul Baki, Vice President Umme Kulsoom Mannan, Departmental Chairperson Saanaullah, and Dhaka University Alumni Association Secretary-General Molla Mohammad Abu Kawshar.

Vice-Chancellor ASM Maksud Kamal emphasized the significance of alumni associations for educational institutions. He highlighted the crucial role alumni play in shaping students into efficient and responsible citizens and contributing to the overall development of the institution.

As part of the event, 52 students from various academic years were awarded one-time scholarships, a commendable initiative by the Alumni Association of the department.
