Bangladesh Capital Market Investor Association (BCMIA) has organized a protest rally on February 3 (Monday) for investors affected by the capital market.
At a press conference held on Saturday, February 1, at the Market Journalists Forum (CMJF) office, the announcement was made.
The group encouraged all investors nationwide to attend the rally during the press conference.
The rally will be attended by Barrister Asaduzzaman Fuad, General Secretary of the AB Party; Md. Nurul Haque Nur, President of Public Rights Payment and Former Vice President of DUCSU; Abu Naser Mohammad Rahamtullah, Member of the BNP National Executive Committee; Dr. Shafiqul Islam Masud, Member of the Central Working Committee, Secretary of the Metropolitan Southern Jamaat-e-Islami; Md. Fazlul Bari, Finance and Capital Market Analyst; and Md. Didarul Alam Bhuiyan, Finance Sampak, State Reform Movement.
Everyone has been asked to attend the protest rally in front of the DSE Bhaban in Motijheel, Dhaka at 2:00 pm on that day and raise their voices to ensure the rally is a success in order to preserve capital and a beautiful and transparent capital market for Bangladesh’s future.
In addition, the organization strongly condemns and protests against the threat by the Commission to its officials not to attend the rally through mail or letter to all merchant banks and large brokerage houses.
All stakeholders in the capital market and all media outlets have been asked to cooperate sincerely from their respective positions to save the capital market and investors.
