Index Up, Turnover Down at Dhaka Stock Exchange

The Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE), the nation’s primary stock exchange, ended the week’s trading day on a positive note. In contrast to the previous trading session, the overall trading turnover in monetary terms fell.

DSE sources report that the DSE’s benchmark index, DSEX, increased by 29.82 points to 5,122 points on Thursday, October 30.

In addition, the DSES index increased by 7.86 points to 1,082 points, while the DS-30 index gained 4.99 points to close at 1,987 points.

Today, shares and units worth Tk 476 crore 10 lakh 27 thousand were traded on the DSE down from Tk 503 crore 64 lakh 2 thousand in the previous session.

A total of 394 companies’ shares and units were traded on the exchange. Among them, prices rose for 241 companies, declined for 81, and remained unchanged for 72.
