Index Trading Decline Indicates Reduced Market Activity

The Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE), the nation’s primary stock market, saw a drop in its price index as trading came to a conclusion on the fourth working day of the week. Alongside this, there has been less taka trade.

Sources from the Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) disclosed this information.

‘DSEX’, the DSE’s main index, dropped 5.51 points on Wednesday, August 27, according to the source. The index is at 5,443 points right now.

Furthermore, the DSE’s other index, the “DSES,” dropped 1.50 points to 1,188 points, while the “DS-30” index dropped 7.56 points to 2,116 points.

The DSE saw trading of shares and units valued at Tk 971.52 crore today. Transactions of Tk 1,247.68 were made on the preceding working day.

Shares and units of 394 businesses were exchanged on the DSE today. Prices for 158 of the firms involved in the deal went up, while prices for 174 of the companies went down. Furthermore, the prices of 62 firms’ units and shares did not change.
