BM Desk : On Tuesday (July 22), the Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE), the primary capital market of the country, experienced an uptick in its price index for the third consecutive working day of the week. Most companies saw an increase in their share prices.
This information was disclosed by sources from the DSE.
As per the source, during the initial two hours of trading today, up until 12 noon, the DSE’s main index, known as ‘DSEX’, increased by 13.23 points, reaching a total of 5,232 points.
Additionally, the Shariah index, referred to as ‘DSES’, rose by 4.07 points to reach 1,150 points, while the ‘DS-30’ index saw an increase of 2.57 points, standing at 1,999 points.
Throughout this timeframe, shares and units worth a total of Tk 304 crore were traded on the DSE.
Among the companies that were traded, 162 experienced a price increase, 137 saw a decrease, and 90 remained stable.
