The deal made during the Awami League government regarding the Independent Power Plant has numerous contradictions, according to Finance Advisor Dr. Salehuddin Ahmed.
Following the Advisory Council Committee on Government Procurement and the Advisory Council Committee on Economic Affairs’ Tuesday meeting at the Secretariat, he informed reporters. Both meetings were presided over by the finance advisor.

“There are many international enterprises in the Independent Power Plant sector,” the Finance Advisor informed reporters after the meeting regarding the decision made. The High Court has ordered that their agreements be reviewed. We will do this following talks. For this, legal help is required. To that end, we have approved a proposal. This involves legal issues. It is unable to be done unilaterally, said the Finance Advisor.
