IFIC Bank has opened its Jagannathpur Branch in Sunamganj

expand its operations and provide enhanced customer services, IFIC Bank has inaugurated its Jagannathpur Branch in Sunamganj. With this new branch, the total number of IFIC Bank’s branches and uposhakhas has reached 189 and 1,221, respectively, continuing its journey as the largest banking network in Bangladesh.

The new branch, located at the Mojaffar Market in Jagannathpur Upzilla, was inaugurated on Sunday (December 29, 2024) by IFIC Bank’s Deputy Managing Director and Chief of Branch Business, Mr. Md. Rafiqul Islam, as the Chief Guest. During the inauguration, he remarked, “IFIC Bank, with the largest branch and uposhakha network in the country, has been ensuring banking services for the past 48 years. This new branch is launched to provide superior services closer to the customers of Jagannathpur.”

The event was presided over by IFIC Bank’s Sylhet Zonal Manager, Mr. Md. Abdul Quayum Chowdhury. Special guests included prominent educator and social worker Mr. Md. Abu Huraira; Acting Principal of Jagannathpur Government Degree College, Mr. Suranjit Kumar Sen; Officer-in-Charge of Jagannathpur Police Station, Mr. Ruhul Amin; Acting President of Jagannathpur Press Club, Mr. Tajuddin Ahmed; notable businessman Mr. Jamal Uddin Belal, along with local entrepreneurs, journalists and well-wishers.

IFIC Bank introduced the “Protibeshi Banking” campaign on June 23, 2019, to bring financial services closer to underserved communities. Under this initiative, the bank now operates 1,410 branches and uposhakhas nationwide.
