H.M. Imran, Jhenaidah Correspondent : Helmets have been distributed in Jhenaidah on the occasion of Road Safety Day-2025 by the Ministry of Road Transport and Bridges. On Wednesday (October 22) afternoon, keeping in mind the theme “Quality helmets and safe speed, will reduce loss of life and property”, the helmets were distributed among motorcyclists in front of the city’s central Shaheed Minar square and the technical training center on the Jhenaidah-Kushtia highway under the supervision of the district administration, road and highways department and road transport authority. Members of the district traffic police and highway police provided overall support in the distribution of helmets.

Present at the distribution of helmets were Executive Engineer of the Roads and Highways Department Md. Hafizur Rahman, Assistant Engineer and Staff Officer Md. Ahsan-ul-Kabir, Sub-Divisional Engineer Md. Ziauddin, Deputy Assistant Engineer Md. Hasan Al Mamun, Motor Vehicle Inspector of the Road Transport Authority Sajeeb Sarkar, Traffic Inspector Md. Mashiur Rahman, Officer-in-Charge (OC) of the Highway Police Mrityunjoy Biswas and other officers and employees of the concerned department.

Md. Hafizur Rahman, Executive Engineer of the Roads and Highways Department, said that helmets have been distributed among motorcycle drivers in Jhenaidah, like the rest of the country, on National Road Safety Day, as per the ministry’s instructions.
