The Food Department has achieved the highest collection of paddy and rice during the ongoing Boro collection season.
According to the department, the internal Boro collection initiative, as announced by the Food Ministry, concluded on August 15. This season, a total of 376,942 metric tons of paddy (107.69%), 146,533 metric tons of parboiled rice (100.46%), and 51,307 metric tons of Atap rice (102.21%) have been gathered, marking the highest figures in Bangladesh’s history.
For this season, the government has established a goal of collecting 350,000 metric tons of paddy, 1.4 million metric tons of parboiled rice, and 50,000 metric tons of Atap rice as part of the internal Boro collection program.
