Govt revises fuel prices in line with global market rise

B Mirror Report: The government has revised the retail prices of fuel oil in the country in line with the upward trend in the global market.

Under the new rates, diesel has been set at Tk 115 per litre, octane at Tk 140, petrol at Tk 135, and kerosene at Tk 130 per litre.

The updated prices will take effect from April 19, according to a press release issued today by the Ministry of Power, Energy and Mineral Resources.

The release stated that the adjustment was made to align domestic fuel prices with increasing global rates.

Earlier, on March 31, the government had kept fuel prices unchanged for April. At that time, diesel was priced at Tk 100 per litre, kerosene at Tk 112, petrol at Tk 116, and octane at Tk 120 per litre.
