Govt reaffirms full funding commitment to family card project

B Mirror Report : Finance Minister Amir Khosru Mahmud Chowdhury today said the government remains fully committed to the Family Card project and will allocate necessary funding in the upcoming budget to ensure its smooth continuation and expansion.

He said the government is actively working to identify and correct initial implementation errors to secure the long-term success of the flagship initiative.

The minister made the remarks while speaking to journalists after a review meeting on the project’s progress held at the Ministry of Finance in the capital.

Describing the Family Card programme as a flagship project of the current government, he said it has been given top priority in national planning and policy focus. He assured that the next fiscal year’s budget will include all required provisions to support and expand the initiative.

“Budget will not be a barrier for this project,” he stated, adding that the government will provide whatever funds are necessary to achieve the programme’s objectives and ensure effective delivery of services.

He further said that the government is taking steps to address implementation challenges and improve coordination so that the system becomes more efficient and reliable.

Concluding his remarks, the minister said the ongoing process of correction and improvement will help establish a more effective service delivery mechanism. He reiterated that the successful implementation of the Family Card project remains a key priority in the government’s commitment to social welfare and inclusive development.
