B Mirror Report:The government has announced that necessary measures will be taken to prevent any violation of policy guidelines in the selection and distribution of Family Cards and Farmer Cards.

An office order, signed by Deputy Secretary (Routine Charge) Md Mamun of the Field Administration Coordination Branch under the Cabinet Division, was issued and sent to all Deputy Commissioners and Upazila Nirbahi Officers (UNOs).

According to the directive, the issuance of Family Cards and Farmer Cards is a priority programme under the government’s election manifesto, aimed at providing social protection to marginal and low-income families.

The order emphasized that cards will be issued to selected heads of families strictly according to government-approved guidelines, without discrimination based on religion, caste, or creed. It also clarified that the cards will be distributed completely free of cost under the government initiative.

To ensure transparency and impartiality, guidelines for forming committees at ward, union, and upazila levels have already been sent to the field administration.

The order instructed strict adherence to policy guidelines during the selection and distribution process. Authorities have been directed to take appropriate legal action in case of any allegations of financial transactions or other irregularities.
