BM Report:
The Government of Bangladesh has appointed 893 new technical teachers to boost the country’s technical and vocational education (TVET) sector.
On Monday, a TVET spokesperson informed that the new appointments were made through the 40th Bangladesh Civil Service (BCS) Non-cadre Examination. The appointees will serve in a variety of roles, including lecturers at technical teachers’ training colleges, instructors at vocational teachers’ training institutes, junior instructors at polytechnic and monotechnic institutes, instructors at technical schools and colleges, and instructors and workshop supervisors at polytechnic and monotechnic institutes.
The new appointments are part of the government’s efforts to address the shortage of teachers in the TVET sector. The government has already made several rounds of teacher recruitment in recent years.
“The government is committed to providing quality TVET education to the youth of Bangladesh,” said Mohammad Jahid Hossain Khan, Information and Public Relations Officer of the Technical and Madrasa Education Division. “These new appointments will help to ensure that we have the qualified teachers we need to achieve our goals.”
The new teachers are expected to start their duties at their respective institutions soon.
