Gopalganj Correspondent : A complimentary eye examination camp took place in Gopalganj, themed ”The path to regaining sight, an initiative for rural eye service”. During this event, free medications and glasses were provided.

Yesterday, Sunday (September 7) morning, this service was offered as part of BRAC’s microfinance program at Madhumoti Bazar in Gopalganj Sadar Upazila.

The medical camp was officially opened by Sadar Upazila Assistant Commissioner (Land) Ms. Babli Shabnam. Present at the event were Regional Manager Md. Abdur Rahman, Divisional Coordinator Md. Jamir Ali, District Coordinator Md. Abdullah Al Faruk, Area Manager Md. Mashiur Rahman, along with other officials.

Throughout this day-long eye examination camp, ophthalmologists delivered free medical services to over a thousand eye patients from various nearby villages. Subsequently, glasses and medications were distributed to them at no cost. BRAC officials also announced that free surgeries would be conducted for those diagnosed with cataracts.
