Five public officials of the Ministry of Land received the National Integrity Award for the year 2023-24 in recognition of their ethical practices in the workplace.
Land Minister Saifuzzaman Chowdhury, as the chief guest, presented certificates and crests to the awardees during a function held on Tuesday at the Land Ministry’s meeting room in the Secretariat. The land minister also extended his congratulations to the recipients of the Integrity Award. Land Secretary Md Khalilur Rahman was present as the chair.
Land Ministry Joint Secretary Md. Nazrul Islam, Deputy Secretary Dr. Md Razzaqul Islam, PAA, Personal Officer Md. Shahjamal, Office Assistant Md. Abdul Based and Office Assistant Habiba Akter received the Integrity Award for the financial year 2022-23 in their respective categories.
Additional Secretary of the Land Ministry Md. Abbas Uddin, Divisional Commissioner of Dhaka Md. Sabirul Islam, Deputy Commissioner of Dhaka Anisur Rahman and officials of the Land Ministry were present on the occasion.
Speaking at the award ceremony, Land Minister Saifuzzaman Chowdhury said, “Smart Government” is one of the four pillars to build a “Smart Bangladesh,” as planned by the Prime Minister. Ensuring integrity in the workplace is imperative for establishing a smart government. We have to work in our respective fields in such a way that inspires our juniors in the workplace. Referring to the Land Ministry’s service-oriented nature, the land minister emphasized that all individuals working within the Land Ministry and its departments/agencies should prioritize the utmost satisfaction of the land service recipients within the law.
Noted, initiatives executed by the Land Ministry in line with the features of the Smart Government Pillar include, data inter-connectivity with more than 12 public and private agencies, inter-connectivity through LAMS inter-systems, QR code based Khatian (ROR), Dakhila (Tax Receipt), and DCR (Non Tax Receipt), 2nd generation smart mutation, Smart LD tax, Smart Khatian, Inter-linkage of all types of data through LSG, 20 SOPs/ Guidelines.
