On the occasion of Prophet’s Day, a discussion meeting on ‘The Economic Principles of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH)’ was held at the head office of First Security Islami Bank on September 16, 2024, Monday. The meeting, which was broadcast live on digital platforms and social media, was attended by over a thousand bank officials. The chief guest, Mohammad Abdul Mannan, Chairman of the bank, stated that First Security Islami Bank is playing a crucial role in the country’s socio-economic development by implementing the economic principles of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH). He urged all bank employees to work diligently to eliminate economic disparity through equitable distribution of resources and to establish a balanced and compassionate society.
The Chairman emphasized that First Security Islami Bank aims to be an institution that meets the needs of every family. He instructed that local deposits should be invested in the respective areas following Islamic economic distribution principles to reduce investment disparity.
During the meeting, speakers highlighted various aspects of the Prophet’s life and called for the implementation of his economic vision in the financial sector. They noted that the Islamic banking system emerged to create a compassionate society free of inequality, guided by the Holy Quran and the Prophet’s teachings. They urged for further proactive roles in the successful implementation and expansion of this ideological banking system.
Speakers mentioned that Islamic banking has firmly established its position in the global arena by following Islamic financial principles. They invited customers to take advantage of the technologically advanced and modern banking services offered by First Security Islami Bank, which is committed to full adherence to Shariah compliance.
The meeting was chaired by Syed Wasik Ali, Managing Director of the bank, and included discussions from members of the bank’s Board of Directors, two Additional Managing Directors, two Deputy Managing Directors, and other executives. The meeting concluded with a prayer led by Maulana M. Shamoun Ali, Secretary of the bank’s Shariah Council.
