Dhaka Bank and the Institute of Cost and Management Accountants of Bangladesh (ICMAB) have jointly announced the launch of a co-branded Vertical Mastercard Credit Card exclusively for ICMAB members.
This new card is designed to enhance the transaction experience of cardholders by offering various lifestyle and travel benefits. The launch ceremony of the credit card, along with a discussion session on “The Role of Professional Accountants and Bankers in Building a Resilient Economy – Lessons for Bangladesh” was held on Tuesday, 4 February 2025 at 6.30 pm at the ICMAB Ruhul Quddus Auditorium.
The Chief Guest of the event was Mr. Md. Abdur Rahman Khan FCMA, Secretary, Internal Resources Division (IRD), Ministry of Finance, and Chairman, National Board of Revenue (NBR). The keynote address was delivered by Dr. M. Masrur Reaz, Founder and Chairman of Policy Exchange Bangladesh.
The session was presided over by Mr. Mahtab Uddin Ahmed FCMA, President, ICMAB, while the welcome speech was delivered by Mr. Mohammed Salim FCMA, Past President, ICMAB. The event was moderated by Mr. Arif Khan FCMA, another Past President of ICMAB. The discussion was further enriched by the participation of Mr. Sheikh Mohammad Maroof, Managing Director of Dhaka Bank PLC, and Mr. Syed Mohammad Kamal, Country Manager of Mastercard.
In addition to life time annual fee waiver, this card offers unlimited complimentary access to the Balaka Executive Lounge at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport. Cardholders will also enjoy pick-and-drop services at the airport. Furthermore, they can access over 1,300 airport lounges in 120 countries through the Mastercard Lounge Key program.
Additionally, cardholders will get to avail ‘Buy 1 Get 1’ offers at five-star hotels. They will also benefit from a quintuple credit shield program with an insurance cover of up to Tk 40 lakh. Further, cardholders will be entitled to preferential banking services from Dhaka Bank PLC, including enhanced retail and digital banking solutions, exclusive financial services, and lower interest rates on loans.
