Syed Atik: Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami Gazipur City Education Secretary, founder of Pagar Model School in Tongi and senior vice-president of Gazipur Private School Association, prominent social worker and educationist Khan Muhammad Yakub Ali passed away at 9 pm on Thursday due to cardiac arrest (Inna Lillahi wa Inna Ilaihi Rajiu’n).
He was 65 years old at the time of his death. He is survived by his wife, 2 sons and 1 daughter, and numerous relatives and well-wishers. The body of the deceased was buried at the Morkun Government Graveyard after the Janaza prayers at the Morkun Graveyard Jame Mosque at 10 am on Friday.
Leaders of various political, social and educational institutions expressed deep shock and condolences on his death.
