DSE’s market capitalization decreased by 6.5 thousand crores

In the outgoing week (March 09 to March 13), the main capital market of the country, Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE), traded with rising index. However, the market capitalization of the DSE decreased by Tk 6,577 crore in the week.

This information was revealed from the weekly update report of the capital market.

On the last working day of the last week, the market capitalization of the DSE stood at Tk 6,75,570 crore. On the last working day of the previous week, this capitalization was Tk 6,82,147 crore. Over the week, the market capitalization of the DSE decreased by Tk 6,577 crore or 0.96 percent.

All the index of the DSE increased in the past week. The main price index DSEX increased by 21.65 points or 0.42 percent. In addition, the DSE-30 index increased by 11.88 points or 0.63 percent. And the DSES index increased by 4.39 points or 0.38 percent.

With the rise in the index, the volume of transactions on the DSE also increased. The total transactions on the DSE during the week were 1,954.68 crore taka. The total transactions in the previous week were 1,813.49 crore taka. The transactions increased by 141.19 crore taka in one week.
