Trading on the Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) ended higher on Tuesday, with the benchmark index gaining nearly 59 points amid strong buying across the market.
The DSE’s benchmark DSEX index rose 58.65 points to close at 5,903 points.
Meanwhile, the DSES index gained 7.95 points to reach 1,182 points, while the DS-30 index advanced 18.71 points to settle at 2,204 points.
Turnover on the DSE stood at Tk 1,115.43 crore, up from Tk 908.40 crore in the previous trading session.
A total of 393 companies traded on the day. Of them, share prices of 242 companies advanced, while 101 declined and 50 remained unchanged.
The market’s rise was accompanied by higher trading activity, indicating increased investor participation during the session.
