The Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) closed Thursday’s trading session with gains across major index, while turnover reached Tk 645.43 crore on the final trading day of the week.
The benchmark DSEX index advanced 71.41 points, or 1.34 per cent, to settle at 5,413.04 points.
According to DSE data, a total of 20.19 crore shares and units changed hands through 194,162 transactions during the session.
The DSE-30 index gained 31.01 points, or 1.52 per cent, to close at 2,068.63 points, while the DSES index rose 10.83 points, or 1.04 per cent, to reach 1,047.71 points.
Market breadth remained positive, with share prices of 250 companies advancing, 84 declining, while the prices of the remaining companies remained unchanged.
