The Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE), the nation’s top stock exchange, finished with a mixed response in indexes on the third trading day of the week, but turnover rose sharply to Tk 478 crore. According to DSE sources, the share prices of 241 businesses fell.
On Tuesday (October 21), the benchmark index DSEX dropped by 22.26 points, settling at 5,089 points. Meanwhile, the DSES index decreased by 3.97 points to 1,077 points, but the DS30 index rose by 3.05 points, reaching 1,968 points.
Total turnover at DSE stood at Tk 478.01 crore, up from Tk 394.65 crore on the previous trading day.
A total of 393 companies’ shares and units were traded. Of these, 80 companies’ prices increased, 241 declined, and 72 remained unchanged.
