Trading on the Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) ended lower on Monday, with major indices declining amid widespread losses among listed companies.
The benchmark DSEX index fell 37.08 points to 5,445, while the DSES index dropped 9.87 points to 1,079. The DS-30 index also declined 3.54 points to 2,081.
Turnover on the DSE stood at Tk 537.12 crore, down from Tk 542.98 crore in the previous trading session.
A total of 385 companies traded on the day. Of them, share prices of 284 companies declined, while 54 advanced and 48 remained unchanged.
The session reflected a broadly negative market trend, with declining stocks significantly outnumbering gainers.
