The overall price-to-earnings (PE) ratio at the Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) declined during the outgoing week of May 3–7, according to the DSE’s weekly market review.
Data showed that the DSE’s PE ratio stood at 9.22 points at the beginning of the week. By the end of the week, it fell to 9.13 points.
As a result, the market’s overall PE ratio decreased by 0.09 points, or 0.97 percent, over the week.
The PE ratio is considered an important indicator for assessing market valuation and investor sentiment in the stock market.
