The Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) ended the final trading session of the week on a positive note on Thursday, with all major index rising and share prices of 240 companies advancing.
According to the DSE, the benchmark DSEX index gained 22.68 points to close at 5,452 points.
The DSES index rose 5.51 points to 1,077, while the DSE-30 index advanced 3.87 points to 2,096.
Turnover on the DSE increased to Tk 499.69 crore on Thursday, compared with Tk 416.15 crore in the previous session.
A total of 385 companies traded on the day. Of them, share prices of 240 companies advanced, 90 declined and 55 remained unchanged.
